Everything about Ballinskelligs totally explained

Ballinskelligs (Irish: Baile na Sceilge meaning homestead of the rocks) is a village in the south-west of the Iveragh peninsula (Uíbh Ráthach) in the Gaeltacht (Irish-speaking) region of County Kerry, Ireland. The rocks in question are Skellig Michael (Sceilg Mhichíl) and Little Skellig, an ancient monastic colony which lies off the coast from Ballinskellings. The town is also the site of an attractive beach and ruins of a priory of Augustinian Canons Regular, now in ruins, and the remains of a Mac Carthy castle.
